Skin is a revolutionary mobile application designed to cater to the diverse needs of individuals seeking to maintain an effective and organized skincare routine. This innovative diary app empowers users to keep track of their daily skincare rituals, monitor their skin's progress through visual documentation, and receive tailored product and routine recommendations based on their specific skin types and concerns.

With its user-friendly interface and comprehensive features, Skin aims to simplify skincare management, providing users with a seamless experience in their journey towards healthier, more radiant skin.

In a world where skincare routines often take a back seat due to hectic schedules and lack of organization, maintaining a consistent and effective skincare routine can become a challenge. With an overwhelming number of skincare products available in the market, individuals often struggle to identify the most suitable options for their unique skin types and concerns.

Skin was developed with the vision of simplifying skincare management and fostering a proactive approach to skincare routines. By integrating a diary feature, users can effortlessly log their morning and night skincare routines, enabling them to maintain a consistent schedule and monitor their progress over time. The product stash functionality allows users to catalogue all their skincare products, facilitating easy access and ensuring that no product goes unnoticed.

Process and data collection

I conducted thorough market research to understand the landscape of existing skincare apps and identify gaps in the market. This involved analyzing competitors' features, user reviews, and market trends. Additionally, I conducted in-depth interviews with skincare enthusiasts to gather qualitative insights into their skincare routines, pain points, and preferences. These interviews helped me understand the diverse needs and motivations of potential users.

With a clear understanding of the target users' needs and preferences, I prioritized features that would deliver the most value and address the most pressing pain points. This involved conducting user surveys and feedback sessions to gather quantitative data on feature preferences and prioritize them accordingly. Features such as routine tracking, product stash management, skin photo diary, and personalized recommendations emerged as top priorities based on user feedback and market demand.

Through wireframing, prototyping, and iterative design, I ensured that the app's user interface was both functional and aesthetically pleasing. Usability testing sessions with representative users helped identify areas for improvement and refine the user experience further, ensuring that the app was easy to navigate and use for users of all skill levels.

Skin represents the culmination of my efforts to create a user-friendly skincare diary app. While it has received positive feedback and tangible improvements in users' skin health, I acknowledge areas for further enhancement. I aim to refine personalization features, improve the user interface, and expand functionality.
